Freezing Temp (-3) - ABS and Emergency brake light on

1816 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  therealbugman
Went out this morning to start my 2004 Sienna. Turned the key and the ABS light and emergency brake light are on. It is stuck in park.
The outside temperature is -3 degrees. Could this be due to the temp?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chuck

You should be able to release the van from park using the little emergency override. See your owners manual for the procedure. Find a warm place for a chance at recovery if it is just a cold weather glitch.
Our 2008 AWD XLE does the same thing (in our garage) I think its the moisture made worse by adding salt, sounds crazy but I hose ours down before parking it, seems to help a lot. My wife will start the van, put in reverse and it feels like you pushing against a brick wall then POP it lets go and everything is fine.
