Fuel economy with 2” lift kit.

I got a Journeys Offroad 2” lift kit on my AWD XLE installed last fall along with snow tires.
I wasn’t sure how it would affect the mileage.

I just finished my first tank with summer tires. This was mixed country driving with some city and some highway, and about 1/4 with a canoe on top. I drove it gently and got 6.4L/100k.

I think my best tank pre-lift with summer tires was 6.2L/100k so this is very close, within error for different driving conditions. I will need to average many more tanks, but so far it seems to make very little difference.

Honestly, I haven’t noticed much. It’s still lower than my wife’s Subaru Outback and seems to handle fine.

My last tank had more highway speed driving, and was 6.2l/100k, so fuel efficiency on par with pre-lift figures. Prior tank was 6.0, best I ever recorded. Prior to that was 6.1, so not a fluke.

Maybe you lose 5% max at higher speeds.

I saw a Sienna last week with what must have been a pretty good load- looked like it was almost scraping the ground.

Very happy with my 2” lift. Without it I wouldn’t make it out our driveway in winter, or some of the canoe-access roads we drive without some big impacts.
