I have no choice now, I bought these a month ago, maybe like 2 months ago, and I will drive these tires until they just die
Several years ago replaced worn GY stock tires with new Yokohama Avid tires. It happened to snow that day and the while I had no issue driving there the garage had helluva time getting the van into the parking lot. Initially thought it was due to manufacturing process that leaves new tires a bit slick and that it would be ok as tires wore.

Should have investigated further but kept as is and then year later scrapped them since one shoulder had worn down while other was almost new.

Check alignment or just check wear after a bit of mileage. The new tires did have one shoulder geared towards snow and other towards summer so perhaps that played a role.

But do they help in snow?
They're not winter tires but worked well last winter in that I95 storm.

Drove about 6k miles in wintery conditions thru upstate NY, PA, Virginias.

Your X-ice are much better in moderate to alot of snow and ice... see my other post for possible alignment issues or similar.

In any more snow then just a sprinkle your X-ice should be much better then the Falkens.

Thanks. And that's exactly why I bought these tires. Some slipping here and there in the rain is fine with me, I just want them to do a decent job in snow this year. Thanks again, I'm excited for the snow

Pretty impressive so far in this slush. Now we are talking. Looks like this X-Ice Michelins are only bad in rain, not in slush.
Crawled that hill at like 10 mph, no problems!

My Michelin X ice are doing all right, even at 36 psi. I've made $140 in no time, the way things are going, I think my michelins are going to pay for themselves today.

I highly recommend these tires guys, in snow. But be aware, in the rain, they act funny when going uphill
