Just bought a new Sienna XLE two weeks ago and the gas gauge is stuck on full. It briefly shows me the correct amount of gas (for about 1/2 second) then resets itself to show full. I’m taking it in tomorrow for service. Some Highlander owners have complained of similar problems.

I remember something like that recently - the issue with fuel gauge. If I remember correctly they usually either replace cluster or fuel pump itself (the one in fuel tank). Weird thing is that it's a old issue and i thought it was fixed. Toyota needs to step up their game. Too much issues lately. This is going to be my first Toyota and I always heard about reliability. And what do you know, as soon as i decide to finally buy Toyota everything starts to fall apart 😅

When my 2021 was new, it stuck on full well past 200 miles, then would slowly come down. As time went by, it became more and more accurate. It still doesn't start to move until about 125 miles in, but otherwise is pretty accurate. It seems to work in fifths rather than fourths. 100ish miles in, still on full, about 200 miles in at 3/4, 300 miles in 1/2, 400 miles in 1/4. I rarely go past this point, but the few times I have gotten to E, it was real close to 500 miles and would take 14 or so gallons (Leaving the ~3ish gallon reserve).
