Help Deciding which Toyota Care Platinum VSA to get

Hi,

I just got my 2018 XLE and was wondering what Platinum VSA to get. I dont drive a lot of miles so i am deciding between 8yrs/75K and 10yrs/100K. The cost to get to 10years from 8 almost double. Now is it worth the bump to get the 10 years or just stay with 8 years 75K miles... I am pretty sure i wont reach those miles... i wish there is a 10years/75K plan. Please help me decide which Platinum should i get. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks,

Rike

No one can really answer that question...its all about your comfort level. Personally, A 10yr/100k warranty for $150/yr seems like a good deal to me.

For reference, below are some quotes from a MA dealership thats nearby to me.

Vehicle: 2014 – 2018 Toyota Sienna with less than 36,000 miles.
Toyota Extra Care, Platinum coverage with $0 deductible:
6 yr / 75K - $685.00
6 yr / 100K - $985.00
6 yr / 125K - $1250.00
7 yr / 75K - $780.00
7 yr / 100K - $1140.00
7 yr / 125K - $1375.00
8 yr / 75K - $900.00
8 yr / 100K - $1255.00
8 yr / 125K - $1670.00
9 yr / 100K - $1435.00
9 yr / 125K - $1915.00
10 yr / 100K - $1545.00
10 yr / 125K - $2070.00

check http://fd-warranty.com/ which is a dealership in MA that sells Toyota warranties. They'll most likely have the best prices that you're going to find. But no one can really guide you to "the best" plan. Just too many factors.
thank you both ... any experience with Sienna on year 9 and year 10 issues? from previous owners?

Do you think you'll own the van that long? If you will and you calculate a mileage estimate and it works out, then I'd go with one of those plans.

What's your ownership plan? How likely is it to change? How likely is it that your circumstances change where you're driving more? How likely is the reason for a Sienna going away / boredom will lead you to sell?

Hi, I will try to own the VAN until i can use it. I dont really put a lot of miles since this is a family car that will only be used on weekend and vacations. We have other cars for daily commute. I am pretty sure that in 8 years i am well below the 75,000 miles but i am just trying to see if its worth it to get the 9th and 10th year extended warranty since it will almost double the price. I am not concern about mileage but on the years since i am certain i wont hit 75K miles in 10 years given my situation right now.
For anyone interested. Just purchased a new 2018 XLE in Texas and a 10yr/100K Platinum warranty from Jennifer in Michigan. Found her on the Land Cruiser forum. Great to work with, and great prices.

What will Toyota Care Platinum VSA warranty cover on my sienna? I'm not sure what types of services are included in the warranty.

that plans are a legal scam if you sign for. they do not provide any FREE work or PARTS except if you make the dealer to write down what is included and in witch conditions. also is a legal scam all that interior/exterior protection. payments what you made during that warranty are not actuary cover nothing because the interior and exterior is ALREADY treated. if you want that EXTRA interior/exterior protection for interior is a 15$ spray and exterior pay 100$ for a buffer and you are good for 3-4 years. DO NOT take any WARRANTY on top the car price, you will not need it or will cost you less at the moment you need it. also DO NOT accept insurance GAP in case you total the car.Is also a legal dealer scam if you sign. Check YouTube and you will find all the dealers "warranty" offered
