Help for USA Spec BT35 install killed XM / DVD player of 2005 XLE Limited AWD Nav RSE

I was inspired to install the USA Spec BT35-TOY on the minivan from this thread:

I received the BT35 from Amazon (sold by Discount Central Online) last week. Following the instructions on the above thread, there wasn't any bluetooth signal from the BT35. I also noticed that the XM radio channel disappeared from the mode options on the steering wheel. The overhead dvd player wasn't powering on. My wife, not knowing the present electrical condition, pushed a disc inside the player and cannot be ejected out.

Victor from USA Spec tech hotline, made me check power on the blue and orange line of the Y-connector. Only one of the two had 12V power. I haven't done his suggestion of pulling out the stereo head unit to perform additional checks.

I disconnected the negative terminal of the battery for two minutes hoping for a reset. I will try to disconnect it for five minutes or longer and will update here.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Disconnected the negative pole of the battery for more than five minutes but problem still persists. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hooked the BT35 in the CD changer socket at the back of the stereo head unit. BT35 now works with music and phone calls.

Still the overhead DVD player isn't working. Any suggestions?
