Which oil do you use? I like Mobil1 personally, and I use a Napa Gold (Wix) oil filter. Hope I make it to 330k like you, but I let one of the kids drive mine for about a year before I got it back. Been doing repairs ever since. Lol
Ugh, yeah, hopefully your kid kept it maintained. Oil is Mobile one full synthetic or Kirkland (Costco) full synthetic 5/30. Oil filter is the Wix or the Mobile one Extended performance. The important thing is that it’s changed on time or even early. That’s really been the key.

2004 XLE Limited purchased 12/21 with 108,000 at a Toyota dealership no less. Was a one owner, very well maintained van. Now has 164,500 with many oil changes and a few other small items that needed attention. Runs like a champ.

What year might I ask and any transmission issues outside of normal maintenance ( fluid changes)

A friend of mine has an 05 LE he got in 2010 that I've driven extensively, had 140k when he bought it, now it's pushing 300k, still going strong.

I'm now the proud owner of a 2004 CE with only 113k. I've seen the 200k road ahead :)

180k on my 2007 AWD; Just finished 8k cross country road trip with no issues. Transmission temp sensor threw a code after climbing Independence Pass, but it didn't come back after clearing it.

2009 with 195k purchased new. Southern vehicle so no rust. Drive about 10-15k/year with no issues. Recently replaced a ripped steering boot and two leaking outer axle boots. Also replaced left rear axle hub with worn bearing. Other than that all is good.

It has the updated metal VVTi oil lines and metal oil cooler lines so no worries there but the O-ring on the oil cooler is seeping a little oil so will need to replace that at some point.

Has the typical front timing cover seeping oil but not too bad.

My concern is the transmission lines going into the radiator. I've heard these lines can break with age and all the transmission fluid dumps and torpedos the transmission quickly. Or a small crack could leak coolant into the transmission.

How many of you have replaced the radiator and transmission lines going to the radiator?

The transmission/coolant leak usually happens in the transmission cooler integrated in the radiator, so just replace the radiator. And while your at it replace the oil cooler o-ring at the same time which makes it easier to access. I replaced my original radiator at 200k miles as preventative maintenance for fear of this leak. Also replace the thermostat and t-fittings if you haven't.

Thanks, sound advice. Will do.

I have an '08. My radiator blew in November 2021 at about 185,000 miles. Knew it did because there was transmission fluid all over the place. New radiator... and all has been well. There's also a connector at the bottom that can go bad - mine did.

I'm at 227,600 miles right now and we'll see how much further it goes. It's been fine for the last 40K+ but now there is a vibration when under throttle, so we'll see how expensive that repair is. I like the '08, but my wife doesn't (she doesn't fit comfortably behind the wheel) and my kids have been pestering me to get a VW Bus. If I use my brain, I will either fix the '08 or get an early 3rd gen (which my wife says she fits in significantly better, even though I don't like the cheaper-feeling interior). If I claim to be in a midlife crisis... well, a hippie van sure does appeal to me, and she'd fit in a Vanagon... or a school bus... :p

'05 XLE with about 230k. Not going to get the miles that it use to as it's now a teenager hand-me-down.

Change in life with this vehicle. We bought it a month before it brought our 1st born home. When she turned 16, we handed it over to her for commutes to work and school and she hated it. Handed down to 2nd daughter when she turned 16, but she loves it. Will shortly hand it down to our son, the 3rd, who's going to turn 16 shortly and doesn't care, just wants something to drive.

The thing has done about everything - It's been offroaded on a Jeep trail in Arizona after receiving bad directions. Has had a boat on top of it, inside of it and behind it heading around our great state. Brought all of our children home after being born and was actually air-born in the middle of nowhere (Vacation-Movie-Style), while rushing to get our youngest daughter to a bathroom when she had diarrhea on one of our many family vacations.

It's gotten it's share of nicks and dings but still looks really good and runs great.
