I bought a set of snow tires to mount on spare 16" Lexus rims that I bought earlier this year. I have been looking for two months for tires and decided on Firestone winterforce UV tires 235/65R16. They are load 101 (1819 lbs) and S rated for speed. I decided on this size because the diameter is very close to the diameter of the 17" runflats. So I could use one runflat as a spare if need be. When the runflats wear out I will replace them with non runflats.
I checked reviews on the Winterforce UV tires and although not #1 they seemed not too bad. People said they hummed after 60 mph.
It has been 35c all week (92f) and all I could think of was snow tires. ;D

Buying now is a great time they usually like moving them now.

I always felt that the "top rated" usually ha an inflated price as everyone reads the same reviews so they figure people would pay more for the top rated whatever!

I have a set of 4 Bridgestone Blizzaks mounted on cheap steel wheels. I love having them already mounted. That way I can wait until the first snowfall to put them on the Sienna and take them off when the risk of snow declines.

The Blizzaks are great. Very quiet tires and they stick like glue. Work great in the rain too. I'd use them year round, but they would be worn out around 20,000 miles, I estimate.
