hi all,
To the owner with 18" OEM rim below:

Does the fake chrome fade it fast? Is it really bad for area with snow?
I'm looking to upgrade my 17" wheels but not really go into aftermarket.
Can someone with these rim chime in?

I would avoid oem if replacing. The plastic covers on the OEM ones seem to fail a lot

Mine are fine after one winter. I don't mind the look that much tbh lol.

I’ve got 30k miles on our OEM 18” wheels. They are fine, no peeling or anything. But they are ugly.

There are other Toyota options, whether it’s the Highlander or Venza or Avalon that will fit.

Yeah same with me, the longer im driving mine, the 18inch wheel is like getting better in my eyes. 😄but will buy other wheel for summer season and will be using this oem wheel for winter

I don't mind the look. It is a psychological thing for me tho, just knowing that it's cheap plastic on there that bothers me. Not enough to change them at this point. Since we have basically brand new all seasons that it came with, mild winters here and my slower/smoother driving to take full advantage of the fuel efficiency will reconsider new wheels once we are looking at winter tires next winter.

Weight... AWD adds another motor and more weight.

They do have those rims in 18”.
20” is too big and will be rough ride.
