Left motor mount

I replaced all three mounts recently with oem . Remove the negative battery cable. remove the torque strut mount ( dog bone). Remove the the top nut of the front mount ( not necessary to remove bottom nuts from the bolts of the center ( front) mount. You should now be able to lift the engine/ transmission so the top bolt of the left mount clears the mounting hole. If it is hard to separate from the hole due to corrosion hit it with a hammer to loosen it. Once clear of the hole pull the bolt and the mount towards you and it should come out. When you install the new mount make sure the little circular tab that is on top of the mount fits in the liitle hole on the mounting frame. This is the only mount that has this tab. Toyota calls the left mount ( transmission) an " Insulator" . Also check for vacuum hoses and the like that may have come undone or even cracked/broken after the install.
Hi paul r,
What is the torque spec you used to tighten "center bolt" of the dog bone mount?
I found torque spec for dog bone's bracket (28 ft-lb), but can't seem to find the center bolt...
I'm about to do LCA replacement and will need to remove dog bone to raise engine/tranny, but cannot find the spec in the forum either...

I had difficulty finding this also so I torqued it tight enough to prevent any movement of the mount. I would think that if it were were not tightened enough there would be knocking sounds .
Thank you paul r.
I finished job after 8 hours... I just tightened the center bolt of dog bone mount to ~50 ft-lb for now. I will keep searching for the spec though. ;-)
