Hi,
I have a 2004 Sienna XLE with both VSC and Trac Off lights on. I've been told by a mechanic that I need to replace the Yaw Rate Sensor. Does anyone know where on the vehicle this sensor is? Looked under passenger seat and found Navigation Control Unit, but can't find the sensor.
Thanks for any help.

The Yaw Rate / Deceleration Sensor is located under the passenger's seat. It looks to be closer to the center console area, maybe a little forward of the seat center.

Under the carpet, or a cutout in the carpet makes sense, as it has to be hard bolted to the floor. My diagram shows it close to the center of the car under the passengers seat, but that might vary.

There is a procedure called "Zero Point Calibration" that has to be done whenever a wheel alignment or any parts are replaced. Attached is an aftermarket sheet with some basics, but the procedure is pretty specific about wheel position, perfectly level ground (less than 1% deviation), you can't be moving or vibrating the vehicle in any way (not in or moving about). You might want to consider having an alignment shop do this.

Thanks for the thumbnail instructions. I performed the SST sequence, and the VSC and ABS warning lights to indeed blink rapidly. What next? The instructions don't really say to do anything else. Is there another page, or can you steer me to the source docs?
