My first post so forgive me if I've missed any details.
I'm looking to finance a new 2022 Honda Odyssey EX-L. I live in the New Jersey and need to buy one in the next week or two and I've emailed a lot of dealers asking for their best out the door price but very little traction with that method. The one dealership who actually gave me a price said I'll end up having to pay MSRP which will be $39-40K. I checked TrueCar for this model and it said $38K.
So I'm taking this to mean I should expect to pay $40K for the car but just wanted to double check. This is my first time buying a car and I don't know if I'm going about this wrong and will end up overpaying if I pay MSRP. Does anyone have insights they can share? Thanks!

Our local dealership has only one EX-L Odyssey for a "special price" of $40K. We are in a seller's market. Some say things will be back to "normal" in the next few months; others think this is the "new normal".
