Hi all

I just had the oil changed on my 08 LE and a week or so later the Maint Reqd light came on. I know how to reset it but is this indicative that something went wrong with the oil change? Just not sure if I need to take the car back in to the shop.

Buy a scanner they are cheap enough or take it to Advanced Auto or a similar store where they can get the code for you, there may be something wrong with another system in the van.

They probably just forgot to reset it. You can do it yourself. Just press and hold the trip odometer button and turn the key all the way but don't start it. Make sure it is displaying the odometer, not the trip odometer. The odometer will show all dashes, which will disappear one at a time. Then it will show zeros, followed by the current miles and...done.

I agree with happycamper. Your oil change place didn't reset the light. The "main reqd" light is just a mileage counter. It is not like a "check engine" light.

+1 There is no active oil condition monitoring on these vans. It's set to flash beginning at 4,500 miles, and go solid at 5,000 miles.
