The maintenance required message is simply a 5000-mile message. Have you driven that far yet? 500 miles before 5000, the van will display "Maintenance Required Soon."

When parked, you can go into the information menu to reset the counter. That's what you'd do after changing the oil, for example. If you can't find that, look in your owner manual to see how to get there.

 

Yes i put 20,000 miles on the van since i bought it. I've done 2 oil changes getting ready for a third. No maintenance reminder light. Was wandering if it dindn't get programmed in when the van was built.

 

Could be that someone disabled it like they did my TPMS light, not realizing that it was so simple to reset!

 

Maybe how do i get it back on without going to the dealer? Or is that not possable.
