Three grueling days of seeing the CEL and VSC lights on the dashboard and the manual says not a problem to continue driving it. fourth day got in started it and idiot lights are gone . No problems ? Looked at youtube videos and sure enough the nice video shows a reset button on the dash for the trac / vsc and my Sienna does not have any button? I will consider the midrange scanner after a consult with my mechanic .

A few years ago in my 2012 Tundra I had a bunch of lights on that eventually went out too. I got the code read and it was a LH rear ABS sensor fault. It came on when I was driving in very heavy wet snow. Most likely some water forced its way into the connection at the wheel which is probably what threw the code, and also why it went away when it dried out.
Either way guessing whats wrong just because there are lights on the dash is pointless. Not trying to be an A hole, just saying dont waste your time. Get a code reader or stop by your local auto parts store. Many will read your code for free. Once you know what code you have now you can start trying to trouble shoot.

the CEL will always throw the VSC and trac/ABS light. this is because they computer automatically disables it. Therefore, you MUST read the engine codes and ignore the VSC light for the time being. Invest in a scanner, Amazon has them for about $40 and well worth the money. A shop will charge $125 just for a scan or they call "diagnosis"

When my rear speed sensor was going bad, it lit the ABS, TPMS, and brake lights, but I have a FWD earlier Gen2 without traction control or actual TPMS sensors. It manifested like this... Driving, lights come on. Shut off the engine, lights go out, drive some arbitrary amount of time, lights go on again, repeat. Eventually, they turned on solid and stayed that way. There is a way to jumper 2 OBD pins, but a code/ABS scan is the way to go. I believe it's the same for all Gen2s where the rear wheel speed sensors are integral to the hub/bearing, so you end up replacing the whole assembly.
