Sequoia National Park, most magical trees I ever saw. They're so big it seems impossible. Mind boggling.

Also on our trip really enjoyed the Mesa Verde ancient cliff dwelling cities

Canyonlands hoodoos

Petrified Forest

and Grand Canyon of course

So many goodies

On a slightly unrelated note I gotta say (brag) Hanauma Bay in Hawaii is my favorite vacation spot of all (did not drive there in my van though). It's in this protected volcano tuff ring cove so the water is very calm and shallow. The reef keeps out sharks but attracts all the tropical fish, sea turtles, color changing squid, and some sea mammals. Perfect water temps and weather year round for amazing snorkeling

co-incidentally, recently has a thought to go back for a visit again with whole family
