Can someone help me with the terminology when ordering a new sensor ,bank 1 sensor 2? Most just say up or downstream and left or right. any brand recommedations?

here is what i found for my 2006 van.

DENSO 2349042 Upstream Front (bank 2 sensor 1, {left}, air fuel ratio sensor)
DENSO 2344168 Downstream Front (bank 2 sensor 2, {left}, oxygen sensor)

DENSO 2349012 Upstream Rear (bank 1 sensor 1, {right}, air fuel ratio sensor)
DENSO 2344516 Downstream Rear (FWD) (bank 1 sensor 2 {right}, oxygen sensor)
DENSO 2344512 Downstream Rear (AWD) (bank 1 sensor 2 {right}, oxygen sensor)

Ah, good. Thanks for that info. I'm new to Toyota, so I wasn't sure. Same situation with NGK/NTK. It's one if you buy from the dealer, but it's the other if you buy it aftermarket. Either way, it's exactly the same sensor.

But sometimes even a quality name like Bosch or Echilin (NAPA) just doesn't do the job.

I just replaced mine with Denso 234-9042 it was a perfect fit. I rented the tool to change it from my local O'Reily's. It took about 15 minutes. Just remember to disconnect the battery before you change it out.
