I have a 2008 Sienna and an older but functioning Actron OBD II Code Reader. I get a Linking Error on the Sienna. Meanwhile the scanner works fine on a 2005 Corolla and every other vehicle I try. Any ideas??

I had a similar issue trying to scan our 99 Siena after it blew an EFI fuse for the first time leaving me stranded. I was unable to link an Actron reader and kept getting a similar error message you're getting. Oddly enough I looked at the dashboard with the key in the ON position and the Check Engine light was not lit, nor it was the Air Bag light. After the fuse was replaced I was able to link it. However the problem is still persisting and it blew that same fuse again after the car was driven for about 10 miles. I replaced again and about 10 miles, the same thing. I'll be checking connections after work. So far, I've driven about 20 miles and it hasn't blown again.

Check out your code reader and make sure it supports the CAN protocol. I'd suspect it doesn't, so it isn't able to "read" your Sienna. The 2005 Corolla uses an older communications protocol than the 2008 Sienna.
