Congrats on getting every penny back from your use of your vehicle. Im only at 12k miles after 13 mos of ownership. I keep checking the air filter under the seats - they still look clean - i even vacuumed it twice. How dirty is dirty.I have changed the hybrid battery air filters twice on the passenger side, and the driver side 4 times(im in an out 30 times a day, so it makes sense that dirt/dust collect there).
I can hear another rear wheel bearing failing. Its not loud enough to cause me concern, but its also not surprising, given I use this thing for delivery and have the mid row seats out, and load the rear every day, its just kind of expected for me, as it was never meant to be used in the way im using it. Either way, my GM cargo van front wheel hubs(much like these bolt in ones from toyota) never lasted more than 70 to 80k anyways, so its nothing new. Might try aftermarket now that there are aftermarket ones, given my parts account means I get a 3 to 5 year unlimited mile warranty on them, so I can drive them to death and get a free replacement when it fails at 300k miles(aka, make a new not so factory parts warranty!).
This is what i dont like about the rear axle design - the bearings/hub are designed to allow both FWD and RWD versions. I wish Toyota made one like the old FWD siennas - more durable roller bearings (both spaced further apart). The compact (dual bearing) design is not as strong. They only did this so the constant velocity joint/axle can go thru it. My older Odyssey's bearings lasted 160k - no issues whatsoever. Maybe lasted longer if i didnt trade it in.
