Straight pipe meaning no muffler. It has nothing to do with the cat. People with cars in areas w/o emissions checks hollow out their cats all the time. As long as the exhaust system is intact there's no chance of exhaust getting into the cabin. Before the mid-1970s no cars had cats.

Also if he ever sells it nobody is going to buy a Sienna with a straight pipe. Lol.
With the Toyota sienna and having the PO 420 and the PO 430 code. how critical are exhaust leaks after the resonator. I did a smoke test on the exhaust I have no exhaust leaks at the head at any of the other connectors only a couple of pinholes in the exhaust pipe after the resonator before the muffler. I also did a smoke test on all my vacuum my intake and I got no leaks there

I also checked my fuel trims again and on the long fuel trim bank one I always have a negative number and on the long bank too I always have a positive number and right now my short field trip number one is about anywhere from 0 to 1.53% and short fuel trim number two is between 4.65 and 7%
