My 2006 gave me the ol' P0430 code recently... many people seemed to have luck with changing their PCV valve to address. I didn't find much help online on how to replace so I thought I could help others with the replacement. It's also hard to reach. I could not fit my hands to reach the hose.
The there is a vacuum diaphragm valve in the way. So I took out the three bolts and nut holding in what toyota so eloquently named "INTAKE AIR CONTROL VALVE ASSY NO.2". See pictures. To move it you have to push the lever towards the front of the car and you can pull out the assembly two inches or so. That is what I needed to jam my hand down near the PCV valve.
I used a plain ol' regular 19mm on it. I was able to start spinning the pcv valve out without disconnecting the hose. This takes forever. I had to flip the wrench over for each 15 degrees of movement. Eventually it came out and in trying to get the hose off the PCV valve, the hose came off the intake. Oh well, I took the hose and the valve out. The hose had quite a bit of gunk in it, so I cleaned that up with a bit of brake parts cleaner (probably not the best thing to use). Old valve was nasty but the ball was still loose. Who knows if it was effective though.
I reinstalled a new PCV valve... now to get the hose back on... I tied a piece of string to it (to prevent dropping it in to the depth of the engine compartment... and got it back on the intake first, then the PCV valve. Then reassembled the INTAKE AIR CONTROL VALVE ASSY NO.2. I cleared the code and it has been off for 2 weeks. We'll see. Hope this helps someone.
