I'm having my 2007 Limited repaired from getting hit in the back and the mechanic needed to disconnect the battery for a few minutes and then reconnect in order to get the latch mechanism to respond at all after replacing the hatch. The recommendations of checking the fuses and then trying the battery are good "free" places to start it seems.

Push the power liftgate button in. Open and close the liftgate manually a couple of times. This resets the tailgate. Push the power liftgate in again then check the opening and closing. It should work.

Thank you. My son was in the driver seat playing while i was cleaning my van. After I finish cleaning, my back door wouldn't open or close with the remote. I look everywhere and finally decided to google. Here I found it. There are 2 buttons for on and off for back and slidedoor. My son turn the back door off.

Where you cleaning the dash and maybe turned off the main switch? To the left of the steering column?
