Rear Air Flow

I have the 2021 Sienna XLE. Is any one else having issues with not getting much air flow out of the rear driver side air vents? The passenger side seems to work fine but even on high the driver side back vents seem like it’s restricted. We’ve taken it to the dealership and they had it all torn apart and cleaned out some insulation they said but this still hasn’t helped. Just curious if anyone else is having the same issue?

Yes, others have reported this issue. I have personally experienced this, too. I have kids in car seats in both second row seats, and usually no passengers in the third. You can improve airflow to the 2nd row driver's side seat by closing or partially closing the vents in the 3rd row. This thread below discusses the problem in more detail:

Would you mind posting a picture of the dealership's service report? That could be very helpful for future Sienna owners who experience and report this problem.

Good luck!

Unfortunately I don’t have the service report because it was covered under warranty what they did. I may try and get it the next time I’m at the dealership. I’m about due for the 10,000 mile service. I have four little ones so I use all the vents. My daughter was complaining yesterday that she was hot an don’t getting much air. I hate to keep bothering the dealership but this just seems unacceptable. Especially when it’s a new vehicle. I appreciate your response. Unfortunately it sounds like it’s not something that can be fixed.

Since numerous people have reported this problem, it appears to be a serious design flaw in the XLE and above which have four zone HVAC. The LE has three zone HVAC with one zone in the rear and may not have this problem. REQUEST: Would someone with an LE please check to see if they have this problem.
An earlier post said they had seen something about the dealer fixing a loose duct connection, but no further info on this.

One possibility to provide some ventilation for a person in that seat is to buy a small fan like the one I recently purchased for $20. It is 5" in diameter, has a rechargeable battery and can be plugged into a USB port for power. The base has a large clip so it could be clipped to the map pocket on the back of the driver's seat or maybe velcroed to the back of the console. It delivers quite bit of air for its size. This would at least provide some ventilation.
BONUS: If you have small kids you can clip it to the stroller to keep them cool in hot weather. The battery lasts for a long time. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FFWG0I8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
