This rubber seal where the rear window sits is distorted. I tried fixing it but it just springs back up. Maybe get a hair dryer to heat it up?


It's been like this since I bought it but I didn't really care in the beginning. It does get water and dirt build up under it. It will probably rust in the future.

Should I get the dealer to fix this under warranty? Not sure if I still have any coverage left though. It's 2021 with 80,000 miles.

argh! Hindsight sucks. I try not to go into my Toyota build quality rants....but they sure don't make them like they used to! It definitely pays to be anal retentive. I may just glue it down with some heat glue or something.

Being OCD I went right away into cold garage after reading your post.

Seems fine but will check again after wash as a lot of winter mud splatter.

Speaking about quality... the seal is not uniform in visible height from one side to the other... I may not wash after all so any quality issues more difficult to see.
