I can also say a buddy of mine got the module and it didnt work worth a damn. And for $1800, thats 10 years of rust proofing.
No, it does not harm your vehicle, hybrid or not, and despite a dealer will surely tell you this, it does not void your warranty.
And the oil has dielectric properties so no, it does not create any problems for the HV cable. In fact, Toyota had issues with Rav HV cables rusting prematurely I believe. This would have stopped it.
And I'm an hour west of you so I also deal with the same crappy road salt.

Do you wash the undercarriage? I wash mine at least every 2 weeks in a drive through car wash. My 2002 4runner's frame still look good.

 

Washing it every 2 weeks is about the same price as rust proofing, and washing it cant get inside the doors, hood,trunk, and rockers.
Washing cant remove all the fine salt particles that get into every single nook and cranny of your car.
And no, I basically never wash it. Probably a few times of year and thats about it.

 

I did undercoat the 4runner with oil one time but it was a waste since I just washed it off. But yea the rockers and doors are rotting because you can't wash inside body cavities. I believe some of those places will actually drill holes and spray oil inside the doors and stuff.

 

Yup, thats what I have. I know some guys think thats crazy but you dont really notice the holes, they're not outside the vehicle letting in more moisture, and I'd rather that than holes from rotting rockers.
