This boiling sound has been going on for a couple of years. You may have to crank up the volume a bit to hear it in this video. I thought it was the coolant so I've flushed with all new coolant. However, it's still making this bubbling/boiling sound. The vehicle still operates fine but I couldn't figure out where and why it's making this found. I usually hear this sound when the vehicle is at rest.

My Chrysler made a gurgling sound. A blown head gasket allowed cylinder gasses into the water jacket. If the thermostat has a tiny vent hole (mine does) an engine can run that way for a long time. If the thermostat doesn't have that tiny vent hole an engine will overheat. Gases push out all the coolant from the engine... Leak down test or radiator gases analysis.

Thank you for the post. I don't see any leak so far and it's been going on for 2-3 years now. However, I'm starting to worry.

So, how do I go about troubleshooting head gasket leak? Thanks!
Leak down test or radiator gasses analysis. I've found blown head gaskets in Chrysler's, GM's, Honda's using a leak down test. Remove the spark plug and pressurize a cylinder, rotate the engine til the valves close, look for bubbles in the radiator. Also tells you which cylinder leaks. Only fix is gasket replacement or worse.

What year? Earlier Gen2s only have the easy ability to add to the overflow reservoir. I think '08-10 has a filler on the radiator plus a bleeder valve. If you have a tiny leak somewhere you can't see it (i.e. between the condenser and the radiator), it can put lots of air into the system and you'd never notice. I would try a proper bleeding procedure for the cooling system and then do a test for exhaust gasses in the coolant.

This is a 2007 Sienna LE model. Thanks, I can try bleeding the air out again.
