Hi All, I just got a 2023 Sienna, Platinum AWD with ottomans. I didn't originally order the ottomans, this spec just showed up due to the dealer allocation, but my kids love it :)
I gave my dealer the 51900-08080-C2 part number, they said that there's no spare tire kit part number for the 2023 MY yet :-(
I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think there's any structural difference between the 2023 and earlier (2022 and 2021) models where the spare tire carrier would mount. Since it seems that the 2022 spare tire kit is available, has anyone installed a 2021/2022 spare tire kit in a 2023 Sienna yet?
Should be no issue but colors might not match.

My bad... thought you were talking about 25th AE.

Suggest search forums for someone that did kit for 2021 or 2022 for same trim and interior color... should have kit number there as well.

Off topic,
Ottomans not intended for use while the car is in motion for safety reasons. The reason I passed on them.

Wow I hadn't seen that before the purchase, but thank you for calling that out!
When I ordered the car, I passed on the Ottomans because I wanted the spare tire, but due to supply chain and Toyota dealership allotment, I got the Ottomans in my 2023 and no spare, so I'm on the hunt to get the spare.

do you have a 25th edition? if so, let me know if you figure this out, Im wanting to do the same thing

thanks
I don't have the 25th Anniversary edition, it's the regular 2023 platinum. According to the Toyota site under my account using my VIN the interior color is Rich Cream and my VIN does have the C2 code. I see that the order sheets for the spare tire kit that others have posted here for the 2021-2022 show C2 as Fromage as the interior color, but I'm not sure if there's any difference in the color.
I'm thinking to check out my local dealers to see if I can see a 2021/22 platinum, that should solve the mystery of whether Toyota changed the shade of the light interior color, but with so few used cars on dealer lots, that might take some time, but as soon as I figure this out I'll be sure to post here

Check the used Sienna sites... should have interior pics.

After reading through the posts here, I went with the Modern Spare 3rd gen Sienna version, and it does fit in the carrier fine, however the cover doesn't snap in cleanly (either the front or the back stays popped up a bit which is driving me crazy. Does anyone have ideas on how to get it to stay sealed better? I thought maybe I could grind down part of the inside plastic where it's touching the wheel (not sure I can actually get enough off to make a difference) or easiest option I guess is to find a spare wheel that fits better... anyone also having this issue?

Secondly, if anyone in the DC region wants to convert their spare to a non-spare carrier for extra storage (graphite, grey interior), I have the parts you need and will gladly trade my spare for yours 😎

Deflate it a little?

Carry an air compressor with you. They are very small and can fit almost anywhere.

So the tire itself clears it fine, it's the rim touching the very center part that dips inward that I believe is the issue. I have no issue removing the cotton backing, I just don't want to mess up the structural integrity by grinding down too much of the "support trim lines" that make up the grid pattern all over the back. Even then, it looks like I could only grind down maybe 2mm at most, but that may be all that's needed. Guess I got to check how much a replacement cover would be if I do mess it up.

If it helps anyone, I got this spare tire Falken FK-090 T 155/80 D17 100M T BSW | 59000230 from Discount Tires here in Houston last September after I had my dealer install the spare tire kit in my 22 Sienna XLE. For me, the thing was this particular tire can handle speeds up to 81 mph. The tire was $91, the wheel to mount it on was $265, so my total price ended up at $407.37 after frees, taxes, etc. The tire and wheel had to be ordered, but came in about 2 weeks.
Interesting, but in the link you posted it says pretty clearly: "This is a temporary tire that is not intended for use above 50 mph."

Where did you get info about "speeds up to 81 mph" ?

thats the conversation to mph, 81km/h = 50 mph

but it does say in the description 81 mph. so the listing is confusing, I bet thats an error on teh wheel specs portion and its 50 mph/81 kmh, max

Did anyone ever find out the color code for the 25th Anniversary Edition? I currently have the combo Ottoman + AWD and would like to add the spare tire kit. If anyone has done it to a 25AE, can you please post pictures? 👍

I just completed the spare install on my Sienna. Took about an hour. Had to use some brute force to remove the original panel.

I purchased P/N 5190008050B2 from Puente Hills Toyota. I was able to get it delivered I’m local (20miles away). The best part, free shipping! There was a coupon code on the website. FREESHIP.

Order Summary:

I then purchased the modern tire spare for the 2020 Sienna ( with the larger diameter) and it fit perfectly snug into its new home. I was curious what year their tires were manufactured so I emailed them and asked. They replied with Q4 2022. I also snuck in another question and asked if they had any coupons to help with my purchase decision.

Use take20 for $20 off. I couldn’t find this code anywhere online. Enjoy 😉

FYI- I accidentally purchased the modern spare kit and got an extra jack. The OEM jack supplied by Toyota is slightly bigger and supports more weight than the modern spare version.
