A FWD LE is my first choice by far. AWD is unnecessary in SC and the LE has fewer gizmo's to go wrong.

In Canada we got FWD as well.

Good winter tires don't necessitate AWD and actually the OEM all seasons [Falkens] did better in city and on PA, WV, VA [that big I95 storm] highways then Suabaru AWD with OEM all seasons [crappy Bridgetsone].

I too just wanted the basic model LE like Dimitrij. But i didnt like the fabric interior. So we ended up with the XLE which at that time was just 4k dollars more. I wish mine had the 1500 watt inverter ( I realize this after owning it for 3 months ).

Our price differential for LE FWD vs XLE FWD was like 3k more and still decided to go with LE.

Mind you our priorities was no softex seats and no sun roof so worked out. That left very little extras on the XLE and none were deal breakers for us.
