I found out that when it's dark like in the garage, when you approach the van with the key in your pocket, the interior will light up. I also see from the manual that you can press twice and hold the unlock button on the fob, it will open all windows and sunroof I guess to vent if the van was sitting in the hot sun for a long time. This feature would have to be enable at the dealer though, I'll ask them to do it next time I'm in for service.
Has anyone been successful having the dealer program? I took mine in and the mechanic had no clue how to do it.

It only does that if you have premium audio, which includes navigation. Otherwise, you have to manually change the time zone and turn daylight savings off and on manually.
I had to manually change day light savings on my LE. I was wondering why it did not change so I opened up the settings on the infotainment and changed it.

Parked in my garage, mine did not update automatically. But once I pulled out to where it could connect to the internet, it updated in seconds.
Do you have the premium audio with navigation in your car? That version auto-updates. Other versions of the audio system are only manual for Daylight Savings and Time Zone.

Maybe that is why I cannot transfer my contacts.....I am beating my head against a wall trying to figure why they will not go. I will look in my phone and see where those puppies are stored.
I finally figured it out. Make sure your Sienna is on (ACC is fine). From your phone, go to contacts, click on the three dots (Android), click on share contacts, select all (or the ones you want to transfer to the van), Click the share icon at the bottom (sideways "V"), select bluetooth, select the Toyota Sienna (or whatever you named the van for BT purposes). Transfer should commence. Oddly, this also allowed messages to transfer over.

TIL the rearview mirror is on a stalk, so you can not only adjust the angle of the mirror, but it's position as well. Makes a huge difference for me, as I'm a bit on the taller side, and having the mirror as close to the roof as possible keeps it out of the way of my view of the road in front of me.

Reminds me of another TIL.

It can change lanes itself too. Just give the signal. It will automatically proceed to the next lane, left or right, with DRCC.
I know it feels like it, but I think it just turns off the lane keep on that side and then the van will naturally drift into that lane.

TIL that if you turn off the rear seat reminder, you can get the trip summary (including MPG) every time you turn off the engine. You just need to NOT have your foot on the brake when you press the On/Off button to kill the ignition (and I think you need to do this before any doors get opened). I enjoy seeing that data for each trip I take. Thanks to another poster for sharing this tip!

Yes I too enjoy this feature when I remember to meet the specific criteria to get it to show up for half a second before someone opens a door, LOL. I've seen wild swings in that trip summary, sometimes over 55mpg for a single trip and sometimes under 25mpg! But I suppose this is why I average into the upper 30s/low 40s over the course of a full tank.

TIL that the app can help remind you not to park in a red zone (kinda)!

I temporarily moved my Sienna to a red zone to move something to the curb and then totally forgot I had just left it there until the app reminded me the car was unlocked a couple of minutes later, which in turn made me remember I had left the car in an illegal spot!

I also love that the app tells you how much fuel/range you have left in the van without having to go check. And the odometer reading!

How do you turn off the rear seat reminder?

Was checking for someone and learned today that holding either sliding door button on FOB will not only unlock and open that door but it will unlock all doors.

Else have to press unlock twice on FOB to unlock all doors.

So get to pick... whatever blows my hair back!!

I may be the last person to learn this (we have had the van for 1 year and 10 days).

My #1 gripe with the Dynamic Cruise Control is that it keeps me 3 football fields behind the car in front of me.
I would always cancel it and re-engage it because I could see the car in front of me slowing down to turn or switching lanes - so I wanted to keep my speed.

TIL There is a button on the steering wheel that sets your distance when in Dynamic Cruise Control mode. Arrgghhh...why have I not figured this before?

You can override the slowdown by gently pressing the gas pedal.
