Toyota needs to make this the default. The built in NAV is useless. It would be nice to just be able to hit the one button.

Try pressing the map button twice to see if it cycles past the built in default to your phone navigation when it’s connected.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the built-in nav is not too bad. It obviously looks like crap, with its outdated graphics and low-res screen. But you can use the voice button on the steering wheel and say something like, "navigate to Oracle Park in San Francisco" and it connects to the cloud and finds it. While driving the navigation works reasonably well. Again, it's a little clunky but it gets the job done. I'm pretty sure after my trial expires in Feb 2023 that the cloud connected POI searching won't work anymore. That being said, Google Maps using AA is still superior.

Try getting it to route around congestion. It will make the new route, then a few seconds later revert back to the original route that is congested. Google Maps is far superior. It's not just Toyota, all the built in NAV systems are garbage compared to Google or Apple. I don't know why they even bother except maybe they still have contracts withthe providers.

No Go. When you press the MAP button again, it shows the current street address of where you are. If you keep pushing the MAP button, it briefly displays the upcoming addresses of the street in the direction you are heading. It would be useful if it marked the location of each address on the map as you keep pushing it, but it doesn't.
The nav on my Model Y is awesome and I have zero complaints. I didn't try to route around congestion. But I'm also on the trial period for the cloud connected nav, which I think does some sort of routing based on traffic data. After it expires, I'm not going to pay for the service as it's not enough value for what it costs. I did also notice it has "destination assist" which actually connects you to a live human who will enter the destination for you. I can see this being useful for elderly people who aren't good with tech. Again, useless for myself.

No. Standard across all trims. People just often don’t realize it’s there, fail to turn it on manually that first time from the switch, and also it’s not terribly bright unless replaced with a brighter LED bulb

As noted above, it does.
We have base LE and can confirm there is light in middle of ceiling in 3rd row and also one further back on hatch looking at cargo area. Not the very brightest though. Our other van [also base trim] from more then a decade ago has brighter lights and cost less then half vs Sienna.
Older van also has 2 12V outlets and our other vehicles have 3+ plus several USB outlets so not sure why Sienna only has 1 12V??

Why not just disable it.
Well, I stand corrected. Somewhat. Our other vehicles Subi and Dodge have the lights in the hatch itself which then shine down when open and don't have a switch. Our Sienna's light is below my eye level and was indeed switched off; therefore, not visible to me in the dark. I turned it on and found that it is indeed deficient. I may wire in a couple LEDs into the upper corners adjacent to the stock one so that when I lean in My head wont completely block the light.

I’d start by just replacing the factory bulb with a high lumen LED
