I just looked at the car and someone must have opened a door or something into the stick on body side molding, as there is now a small chip in the paint of the molding, revealing the black color underneath. Any tips on trying to touch this up? Will the touch up paint stick to the plastic - clean, dry and sand a little and try to touch it up? The color is white, I guess I could use appliance touch up paint if that sticks to plastic better, as the quality of the blend isn't super important given the location of the chip.

Not so much in GTA unfortunately.

Did you buy from this dealership as well? Was it Upper James or Red Hill or Ancaster?
I thought at first you were stocking me. LOL. It shows your are from the USA but I guess you are in the GTA.
I got my Sienna from Burlington Toyota.

That's actually quite easy to repair with touch-up paint. Over apply with a few layers then sand it a little with like 800 grit, then cut& polish it with DA if you like.

The big part didn't even need paint just sand it lightly with wet sanding about 800 or 1000 grit and cut and polish.

I help fix my coworkers car he scratched at Costcos cart thing. Red car with grey scratches. Almost not noticeable after the fix unless you're 1-2 feet away looking at it.

I would be willing to bet no one hit the molding. I'd say thats just a paint drip that came off. Either way the molding is just a piece of plastic so it wont rust. A simple paint pen from the dealer for about 10 bucks would cover it up. Plus then you have the pen on hand for the ones that really look bad, like the stone chips on the hood.

Yeah, not sure why that changes from time to time... only thing can think of was in USA when posted. Perhaps location is IP controlled??

Thanks for the info.

Just drove by Burlington recently for Costco :)
