I've passed the 25k mark on my '21 Limited and have the option of 2 more years & 20k mi (up to 4 yr/45k from purchase car date) of scheduled maintenance for $307. Is this worth it? Service dept showed me the cost of each service individually and it seemed like it would produce a decent savings. I've always liked to keep my vehicle serviced by Toyota until it's out of warranty, and it would lock in prices as of today and protect against an increase in service costs in the next 2 years.

Has anyone else added this after the initial ToyotaCare expired? Does this seem worth it?

x5K service is about 45 bucks. 30K is about 220. I don't know what 40K is. But $307 saves you at least 100 bucks. I suspect 40k is a lot more than x35K ones. I would do $307 assuming you don't do anything yourself. While at it, ask them for 55K or higher plan too.

the dealerships make extra money off of extended warranty's. So the answer is no, don't do it.
OP is talking about extended maintenance plan. Not a warranty.
I'm usually wary of anything sold by a delaer as well but based on what is duscussed the plan seems to make sense. Just pre-paying for scheduled maintence up front for a discount.

Thanks all. Correct - scheduled maintenance only and not warranty.

With going to only 45k I’ve broken it down by service without all the “inspect” items, which I’m not convinced even occur or perhaps they occur anyway with the MPI performed during each service anyway.

30k
Replace engine & cabin air filters
Oil change
Rotation

35k
Rotation

40k
Oil change
Rotation
Clean HV battery cooling intake filter

45k
Rotation

Since I change the air filters myself, I’m basically paying $307 for 2 oil changes and 4 rotations (until I buy Costco replacements). Last time I was there the advisor didn’t think the Sienna has an HV battery cooling filter (need to verify). The inspect stuff isn’t worth paying for, in my opinion. Next I’ll get the exact costs for those two items from my local dealer. The synthetic changes are getting ridiculously high these days.

I paid $300 for them to change my air filter and cabin filter. Of course they ripped me off as I didn't give them permission to do it but they did it anyways.
Painful. I’m starting to realize these x0 and x5 services are a waste, at least under 90-100k. The oil change and rotation is ~$90 and air filters are an easy DIY. I find it odd that they only do rotation and to rotate and balance is $60 instead of $25. I’m looking forward to replacing tires around 50k and free r/b at Costco.

Glad to see you did the math and realized its not worth it. Maybe if you have bad physical health, or have so much money you dont care, but I have never understood anyone else getting those dealer mileage inspections. Huge waste of cash paying some clown to "inspect" your vehicle.
Get a jack, for a lot less than $300, rotate your tires for yourself, done.

Valuable opinion. I am sure many many would agree, including 9 out 10 from my family and friends.

If I may, how about something just for the sake of arguing ;). No disrespect intended.

I doubt anyone sold their last piece of underwear to buy a G4 Sienna. I.e. $307 saved over 2 years by itself by a G4 owner is not going to create a life altering experience for anyone. It's not bad to spend some for convenience if you're expected to leave it behind anyways ( I suspect most, if not all, G4 owners are expected to leave behind nice inheritance.)
