Has anyone ever done their own upper oil pan change? I recently completed this job, which took me a couple weeks, because of cold weather, and doing it outdoors only when it's above 48°. Now that I'm driving, with no oil light on, the question, "did I do everything right?, still persist in my mind. There were two "O" rings to be placed on the top of the oil filter housing, which is actually the bottom of the engine. These two "O" rings would be placed on the two ports, but will be facing downwards, and I'm very concerned if they actually stayed in place while fitting the upper pan to the engine. My question to anyone with knowledge of the oil cooling system in the gen 2 is, " if either one of these "O" rings were moved out of place while fitting on the upper oil pan, will this not be sufficient cause for the oil light to come on?. Thanks in advance for y'all input and assistance.
