Which is why I was wondering why a Texas dealership would ever trade out of a pickup for a Sienna. But they apparently did.Slightly off-topic, but if you go to koons.com now, they have a 4WD Tundra Plat with MSRP $65K listed at $95K. That is not a typo - $95K. That's ~50% + OTD MSRP!
Been waiting since October XSE AWD with spare tire, still no build date..I ordered a Toyota Sienna base model LE FWD Gray. So basic basic basic 1/15/22. That was during an already crisis time from chips and now we have moved into the War in Ukraine which I understand is disrupting supply chains every which way. So, anyone have any idea how long my wait might be? I get gas at costco here on Kauai and the Toyota(1 toy dealership on island) dealership is across the streetand has maybe 4 new cars. When I see a Sienna sitting there I of course perk up. Saw a suspect Sienna matching my description so I called my salesman. He said it was ordered in Sept October. So before the War I was planning on 5 months and hoping for sooner but now,,,. Thoughts? I have seen on my fav youtube channel it is anyone's guess at this time? Guesses? At least I am not desperate and I am not being bombed out of my home.
You are no help, LOL That is not what I want to hear.Been waiting since October XSE AWD with spare tire, still no build date..
Only that XSE with AWD are not easy to find. I've been on a wait list for two months and there is nothing on the way. We ended up saying anything XLE and up that has and audio upgrade, inverter, and spare and have still been told to expect an additional 3-4 more months, but AWD XSE we got wait times of 6-12 months from two dealers in our area. We're only #5 on our dealer's waitlist with basically any color and open to 7 different trim/drive options and we're still being told to expect to wait months.I have a deposit on a Woodland, but have further opened up to the XSE loaded out with everything but the entertainment package.
The XSE has the same seats as the Woodland, and it can be optioned to get everything the Woodland has, minus the .6" lift (which I can live without)
I would be ripping off the tow hitch and putting on a proper full size hitch anyway.
And I have since learned that the XSE comes with the better LED headlights and the actual LED tail lights. Which I want.
So to summarize, I could get an XSE optioned to include all of the same as the Woodland, minus the lift and the hitch (that I don't want) or the Cement color (which I like but it's not a show stopper - its the wife's car).
Am I missing anything in my comparison?
I talked with dealerships in 6 states. Nobody I talked to would take an order for a custom build or give hope you'd get it.Placed an order for a Black 2022 LE AWD 8-Passenger on Sept 26th with a "3-6 month" delivery timeline and "March '22 would be worst case scenario".
Latest updates I've received haven't come with any timelines, I assume at this point our Rep (who I believe is frustrated with us) doesn't want to give us any more false hope regarding delivery.
If it arrives within 12 months of my original order + deposit, we'll be satisfied at this point.
Bit curious when it flips from 2022 to 2023 though, as we started the process when people were promising delivery on 2021...and then after every single order we placed fell through (or they sold to others for more $$) we switched to the 2022.
Congrats on snagging one.I talked with dealerships in 6 states. Nobody I talked to would take an order for a custom build or give hope you'd get it.
I got my "unicorn" from a dealer that said he had an allocation coming in 2.5 months and it included a Sienna Platinum. I put a deposit down and was pretty anxious about it for a couple months. It became more real when they showed me a build sheet with a fake VIN number. It was in "build" for several weeks, but then they said it was shipped to a regional dealer (served 5 states) and had an actual VIN. It was a 2 week train ride!
In the end it took only a few days from the regional dealer and it finally arrived.
Look on YAA.COM. You may see some limited inventory available.
Hi: I have an XSE FDW in Canada. It has LEDs all around as you state, but I just checked the headlights and they are both reflector not the better 'projector' lights (higher trims). Projectors have a slight convex lens, the reflectors look like a series of mirrors all arranged to focus the light. (We also have a Venza with projector lowbeams - I just checked it too). That said, the headlights on the XSE are really really good. I find the auto high-beams are almost perfect in execution except when in fog - then you have to turn them off. I don't think the lights differ between USa and Canada, so you might wanna check what your are getting . Cheers.I have a deposit on a Woodland, but have further opened up to the XSE loaded out with everything but the entertainment package.

If your salesman gave you a VIN, then it will happen for you! I know the waiting is terrible, but our Plat Sienna has been wonderful, so in the end, you will have it. Best of luck and keep us posted!Aoha All, with an update,,, not quite success but close
I ordered a 2022 Sienna LE in January and was told 4-5 months. I need this van so I can double the number of passengers for my tours. I am a tour guide here on Kauai. So been waiting waiting waiting and then I get the call from my fantastic Toy salesman to tell me the car is now sitting at a pier in Honolulu waiting to be shipped with about 80 already paid for cars. The catch is they might get all or half of those cars on a shipment! Shipments sometimes are once a moth or twice. The dealership is at the complete mercy of the shipper. Talk about nerve racking, to know my van is 90 miles away and yet it might as well be a million. Living on Kauai is a blessed thing but living on an island is sometimes the pits and I'm in a pit. So far, my Servco Toyota Dealership Kauai has been sterling with service and hand holding during this "odyssey", not to be confused with a Sienna.
