I am seeing that too, especially multiple airport taxis using the new Siennas. At this point, I hope the price bubble pops..it makes no economic sense. I got a call from a Toyota dealer. They are selling a brand new xle (50 kilometers driven) for 76000 dollars. Vs. a 45k msrp. Those dealers are minting money. Right now this feels like the housing market during March 2022. I hope less and less folks fall for this. A year from now wit high interest rates, they're going to feel very very foolish. A 40k car bought for 70k. Just buy an old caravan instead and use it for a year. No practical reason it HAS to be a Sienna that you have to drive. Especially with the drop in fuel prices.

Sorry, long rant.

The markups are ridiculous. I get it that dealers can't make money if there just isn't any inventory to sell, but to try to mark up a vehicle by 50% is robbery. I get it. Market price for in demand items, but the current situation is ridiculous. I hope the bubble pops for everyone still waiting.... and while I worry for those of us who still have mortgages to pay, i hope the housing bubble pops as well....there is no reason houses should cost 10x+ a decent salary in a country with THIS MUCH LAND.

Very well said.

This will eventually turn just like housing market.
If can wait to buy a vehicle then do so or get interim vehicle to tide you over BUT for some people they need right now.

Agreed. IMHO the Pacifica/odyssey/carnival are way better deals and plusher rides, except for the crappy mileage. Especially the Pacifica gas version (hybrid has reliability issues). If you're going to pay market adjustments of anything more than 5k on the Sienna, you're bleeding money that you might have otherwise saved on gas.

Placed my order late December 2021 in Kitchener Ontario. I just got an email update that I can expect delivery of a 2023 LE FWD 8 passenger at the end of November.
I won't be holding my breath. Pricing is still TBD too.
What if the dealer tries to add those BS fees after your sienna arrives?

i also placed an order with just a invoice of $0 and $1000 deposit. my sales person told me verbally it will just be MSRP and fees i see on Toyota.ca…..

Great news, that's the first we heard of an estimated arrival for a 2023. My sales at Erin Park says they haven't heard anything on 2023 arrivals as of today, hope I get an update from him soon.
If it's anything like the US, prices shouldn't be going up much so I wouldn't worry too much.

Is there something the dealer has to do with all Bill of sales that say it's for a 2022/2021? I assume at this point if you haven't already taken delivery, we'll be getting a 2023. Do they update the Bill of sale and make you sign a new one? Does the dealer need to notify Toyota that the order will now be for a 2023?

I have a feeling i need to be on it with my sales rep, he's not really proactive.

My sales rep told me that a new bill of sale will have to be made. They don’t notify Toyota of anything I think, they just keep waiting for the allocation for your car to be fulfilled.

Our BOS stated model year, price, etc. BUT no vin # so for sure a new BOS if model year changes along with vin # when eventually get.
We had also added that deposit refundable at our request.

2023 Corolla prices are now up on the Toyota.ca website. Looking at a more substantial $800-900 increase. But I guess it makes sense since it got a bigger update with the new infotainment system and TSS 3.0.
Still waiting on Sienna updates. Wonder what's the hold up given the US info is already up.

The 2022 Corolla hybrid with option package was a really good buy.

Now with similar features plus sunroof and AWD the comparative 2023 trim is about 7k more :(

Toyota not raising prices that much for 2023... about few hundred more so hopefully dealership sticks to word to sell at MSRP i.e. toyota.ca website price plus licence.
Ontario has laws against selling over MSRP. However, it doesn't stop them from throwing every possible accessory to inflate the selling price though. This is usually what happens with stock they have on hand for immediate sale.
They will probably try hard upsell you accessories, PPF, tints, want you to finance for certain lengths, buy extended warranty or some bs insurance.

I hadn't really been paying attention to the Corolla, but it just occured to me that the 2023 only lists Corolla Hybrids (no gas option). The press release today also only mentions Corolla Hybrid. Have they gone to hybrid only for the Corolla? A bit surprised by that...

Edit: June press release explicitly mentions gas version Corolla with new 2.0L engine, so I guess they just didn't update the website with the info yet.

I do a regular sweep of Sienna's available even in far off dealerships. Today I contacted one such dealer, quite far away, which showed up in cargurus. Guy said he might have one available in a couple of months. Very very minimal add on to the MSRP.

After a day, he got back to me saying that the dealership would rather keep it within the town, apparently folks are exporting Sienna's to China. They wont sell it to out of town folks because of that.

Pity. The guy I spoke with was super nice about it though.

Tell him you'll sign an agreement not to sell for one year or finance it. If do latter just pay off when want as long as no penalty.
