What seal is this on my 2012 Sienna (V6) XLE? My Sienna has about 92k on the clock. I want to properly identify the problem before taking it my mechanic to quote me on replacing the seal altogether.

Anything suggestions would help!

Thanks!

Yes that is you timing cover on the right. Looks like you removed the power steering pump. I just did a new ps pump and had the banjo bolt gasket replaced to verify the timing cover seepage. It is still seeping. I'm probably going to just leave it alone. Got 3 quotes, all around 2k for the new timing cover seal. They say the engine needs to be dropped to do the job. 17 hours. How bad is it leaking/seeping?

I wiped it down the other day and will give it a look this weekend to get a gauge on how quickly it is seeping.

The angle of the photo is a little deceptive, I did not do any work on the PS pump. I wonder though if I should re-torque it in case the leak is coming from that part altogether.

I don't think I'll go to the dealer for a quote, but I fully expect it to be an expensive job, even with a local mechanic.
