Wheel spacers and cutting stock lugs

768 Views 0 Replies 1 Participant Last post by  tokes58
I have a set of wheels that I need to use spacers to optimize fitment. I'd like to be as non-intrusive as possible to the stock hardware and this poses a problem as I would probably have to cut some length off the lugs for the wheel to seat correctly on the spacer. My wheels have a dual bolt pattern of 5x114.3/5x112 and I theorize that if I use an adapter to fit the wheels to the 112 bolt pattern, the protruding lugs should fit into the 114.3 holes thus eliminating my need to cut anything.
Has anyone tried this? TIA
