Yes, it's just supplementing the regen braking with the friction brakes up to the point you lock them up (which may not be completely possible with anti-lock brakes) since at that point the wheels are no longer turning. But you are defeating the purpose if you routinely do this (Emergency braking aside).
Why do hybrid brakes last longer?
Please educate me! And in the best case scenario where I will be driving the most conservatively, can I expect $150,000 miles out of them?
