As the title says. Need to know asap! my stock michelins are shot at 30k miles. would prefer to run truck tires due to them possibly lasting longer. again, looking at 245 65 r17. stock tires are 235 65 r17 michelin primacy tires. Thanks!

Soooo... I bit the bullet and bought em. They fit great! truck does not ride noticeably different, and the price is roughly the same as the primacy tires I replaced. Im seriously pumped about the new tires... they have a 70k tread warranty... on light trucks. If I can get 60k miles, I will be thrilled. The Primacy tires were at the wear bars at 30k miles.

I have no rubbing issues. My problem is that I run the minivan heavy. 3 kids, a dog, a car top carrier, and sometimes a bike rack. For that reason, I'm hard on tires. thus, I bought the light truck tires.

This is a trend I'm seeing as our vans' tires are undersized. The Honda Odysseys have bigger tires. I saw a new Odyssey with Michelin LTX tires and theylooked beefy. I will be switching to a SUV tire(Michelin LTX MS2) within the year. I also run heavy with kids and stuff.

I actually really liked my michelin primacy tires, but 30k miles is unacceptable. we are averaging 20k miles a year which means I'm buying tires every 16 months. hopefully ill be able to get 60k miles on these. we will see how they wear.

I'm running Goodyear Nordic 235/65R17s on our 2015 SE. I wish I would have seen this thread before because I would have bought LTs too. Having said that, I've run Nordics on other vehicles and as long as you swap them out in spring, they last a long time.

I'm not a fan of the super siped, soft, low tread depth passenger tires people run these days.

My Odyssey tire was big and fat, I forgot the size but it had a load rating of 103. My current tire on my Sienna is "sportier" looking, 245/45 and has the same 103 load rating. Make sure you have the right load rating and research which one is quieter on the road and you'll be a happy camper.

I can also confirm that 245/65R17 do fit, Just barely. My comments are: 1) a bit more noise, 2) more body roll. 3) Speedo is off by ~5% reading low. Need to get some miles on it to check MPG
Im seeing a bit of a stiffer ride, more body roll, and a bit of a drop in mileage. Im willing to put up with the tradeoffs if I can get 60-80k miles on a set of tires.

Vehicle: 04 XLE AWD 210k miles. OK just did a check on indicated mileage all indicated via factory MPG guess-o-meter. Before with 225/60R17 Michelin defender half worn at 24k: 25mpg to 22.5 highway at 60. Wife driving city 18 before to 16.5 after (her driving style quite aggressive).
So a considerable hit. But now keep in mind that now speedo is reading about 8% higher than before. So add 8% to after numbers get 24.3 and 17.8. Still a drop but not as bad. These tires spec out 12/32" tread new my old had 5/32". So i would expect more rolling resistance. Old tires at 40PSI new at 32PSI.

Now we just got a good snow here in Colorado and these tires are boss. The old tires were barely acceptable. With these tires you have to be really aggressive to have ABS kick in. Still a little push in the turns with no throttle (under-steer). Goes to beautiful over-steer with throttle application (drift). oh-yea this thing can drift. Will find a parking lot and shoot some video tomorrow.

Hey Hendeerd. I am looking for tires for my 2006 AWD Sienna. I want something taller and likely a light truck and/or all terrain tire.

You have mounted 245/65R17 with no problems/rubbing?
This is great.

Do you Have pics? Which wheels do you have? Offset?

According to https://tiresize.com/calculator/ a 245/65/R17 would be a 29.5" tire? This works?

Any info would be much appreciated as I really need some new tires, and would love something beefy and with off-road traction.

Also, if anyone knows of where to get a great deal on Light Truck and/or A/T tires I would love to know about it.

So far I like Geolandar AT-S'.

I am also considering swapping out my 17" rims for a 16" and purchasing a set of 5 wheels/tires so that I have a proper spare.

Input appreciated!
