My 2017 Sienna just hit 60,000. Had to replace the Battery which died with no warning. Dead, Dead. What else should I be doing? All oil changes are up to date. What about the Tranny?

The 2017 uses the new D4S engine which calls for spark plug changes at 60K miles I think.

As for the transmission, I would recommend do a drain and refill, but make sure you follow the proper process to ensure you have the correct amount in the transmission. These trans are very finicky about correct fluid level from what I have read.

I just bought our 2017 with 54,000 on it. I know I’ll be at 60,000 shortly and was also wondering what I’d be doing when it gets there. I did notice it has the original battery, and in my previous Sienna, it too died without any warning. That’s on my short list. Just reading up on other procedures such as oil changes and trans filter changes. All though, this is the first Sienna that came with all the manuals. I’ll start there.

wow, plugs at 60k. Far cry from the 110k on the 2011.

3 things I really take care on car to last is the bloodline of the car, like your body bloodflow... Coolant, Transmission oil and engine oil.... other things are repair as problems come up..

just make sure each liquid is full line and color is good....you can change them now if you want...but by 90K I would definitely change all three liquids.
