2GR-FKS presents the same problem as the predecessor 2GR-FE (and several other modern vehicles): a lot of disassembly/reassembly to reach the back 3 plugs. 3-4 hours labor depending on the shop. Some DIYers claim they got the job done with less disassembly but I've not seen a video demonstrating that.
Long story short, for a 2014 2GR-FE, I got an eye-gouging quote from my local dealer of $1,069 USD + tax for just plugs and gasket, no coils. A mom and pop did the job for $563 + tax, also with OEM plugs. And I live in an average cost of living area.
I stand corrected. It's somewhat simpler than 2GR-FE in that the cowl does not need to be removed assuming the CCN is correct in that Sienna is like the subject Highlander in that regard.
vanlyfe2021: Thank you for the CCN video. I'm a big fan. I'll be asking my local (northern Illinois) dealer for a quote. There's also a local indie shop that's said to be good, and always has a lot full of cars. The CCN method seemed a MUCH easier way to access the rear plugs than other DIY methods. I might tackle it.
Fedrixer: I did reply to your comments on spark plugs for the Sienna. In the discussion, there is a good DIY video by the Car Care Nut, a Toyota Tecnician. Video thanks to vanlyfe2021.
Fedrixer: Look at the DIY video posted in this thread by vanlyfe2021. The video is from youtube channel, The Car Care Nut, a Toyota Master Technician. I've seen dealer cost estimates here from $700 to $1,060
I just did my Gen2 (2012) (first time for me) The video I watched did a great job covering each step with part numbers, torque values, wrench sizes. It took me about 11 hours start to finish, but I did a bunch of cleaning and inspecting and could have been faster. Good luck. LI
