Creaking sound drivers door

Hey everyone, my 2014 Sienna developed a creaking, knocking noise when I accelerate, brake or turn. It doesn’t do it with the door open. I suspect it’s the little rubber knob. I unscrewed, put lubricant on it but when I push the knob in either direction it still makes that noise. It screws into a little plastic piece.
Anybody dealt with this successfully?

Maybe I'm hallucinating but I think I remember someone eliminating the noise by putting a flat washer or two behind the little round rubber bumper.
