Again why lie?
Lying is intentional. Mistakes are non-intentional. I did neither.

link to 2021 sienna 40k long term

0-60 is whopping 9 seconds flat
Again from the C&D long term test of the 2021:

"When new, the Sienna hit 60 mph in 7.6 seconds and slinked through a quarter-mile in 15.7 seconds at 89 mph. These aren't numbers that stir one's loins, but that is just as quick as a previous-generation 2015 Honda Odyssey, so if you're so evolved that you go from van to van, with or without the need to chauffeur dependents, it'll feel normal."

and:

"After 40,000 miles, the Sienna lost a bit of the pep in its step, posting a 7.7-second 60-mph time, but that's still quicker than minivans were 15 years ago. And no van from then could average 29 mpg over 40,000 miles. Our long-term 2018 Honda Odyssey returned 23 mpg. The Sienna betters that by 25 percent. That fuel economy is incredible"

Faster and more efficient. FTW

Just for funsies, 2010 ford svt raptor did 8.4 seconds in 0-60.

Splitting hairs when comparing new model to new model is cool and all, but for the gen4 to be doing what it does at 30+ mpg’s is still amazing to me (especially with gas prices creeping up again…). Bringing in some context with comparison of an older “performance” truck brings me down to earth with expectations of a people mover lol.

again- why BS

I said very clearly Gen 4 sienna passing power is inadequate.

the data shows that- why continue to twist and lie?

30-50 is a whopping 5.0 vs 3.8/3.5- over one second difference

50-70 is 0.4 to 0.9 slower.

faster? Which part of that is faster than gen 3?

why lie?

Inadequate for krispykreme, clearly adequate for most of us i’d say. And i speak as a dude that used to cruise 80ish and have passed semi’s just fine flat towing a 2200lbs drift car up the grapevine.

We are all not kristykreme

1. Who cares about 0-60? Which part of my post cared about 0-60?

2. I care about passing power over grapevine climb. Sienna is utterly inadequate for passing power.

we don’t live in 2010 any more.

plus it’s actually 6.7.

Why twist and lie about things?

that is correct- because unlike all of you guys. I don’t lie and post wrong information.

Ah you got me! Youcaught my lie. I was clearly comparing our hybrid minivan to the ford raptor 2010 v8 5.4liter model and clearly lied about comparing it to the 6.2 model.

Oh no, the shame. How much lower can it get since i already drive a minivan

now you are twisting again- which part of your original post mentioned 5.4? 6.2 was optional

you didn’t right?

If you look above; I only mentioned 2010 ford raptor svt.

And I shared that it got 8.4 0-60 time.

Which the 5.4 model did according to edmunds.

You brought up that i had lied and shared info on the 6.2 model getting a much better 0-60 time.

And oh my god. I lied by sharing the 5.4 svt’s numbers and I should be ashamed for sharing such a lie. Kill me now i guess. Burn me at the stake!

You really need to do a better job of walking back from your comment.

ford had trouble supplying the 6.2 as it was not only available for raptor, it was available on other trim.

why use the 5.4 when 6.2 is available and 6.2 became the sole engine in 2012?

Enjoy that .3 secs because it comes at cost: 19mpg city (in 2025 no less!)

Not my fault ford sucks lol.

But hey. Our hybrid 4cyl minivan people mover is on par with an older model “performance” truck (mid level 5.4 v8). In fact, our minivans a little bit faster!

But none of this really matters because these are just people movers, if you really want to floor it and beat those pesky altimas from the greenlight, a hybrid minivan is obv not the car for you.

I think we got a chance in Sport mode against the Altima

I randomly picked a 15year old truck because I liked the idea of broadening my scope of comparisons. Nitpicking a half second 0-60 being a deciding factor to ditch the van for another minivan seemed pretty extreme (and kinda hilarious). Then I thought to myself, our gen4’s are definitely not the quickest… but in sport mode it actually moves kinda decently? I began thinking; what are some 0-60 times of some older model trucks/suvs? How about americas best selling truck say … 15 years ago?

Thus began my adhd deep dive into making that comparison. (Wasn’t really that deep of a dive in hindsight).

But my findings struck a chord. Our minivans move decently compared to a 15year old v8 powered truck! I see those 15year old trucks on the roads like all the time. I can probably actually beat them if I wanted to give it a try! (That would be a sight, hybrid minivan beating a ford svt v8 lol).

Also it’s not my fault ford labeled the 5.4 an svt if it’s a slouch compared to a minivan 4cyl 15 years newer. Like how dare they sell a 5.4liter v8 as an svt if it’s gonna lose to a 4cyl minivan in the future. (Feel free to do your deep dive yourself on trucks sold with the 5.4 that years vs other years).

I don’t know where I’m getting at with my posts here now. We’ve kinda derailed things here long ago.

I like thinking we get a lot of eyeballs from potential sienna owners, and are legit hesitant of the 4cyl lacking. And I think it does a very decent job compared to the v6’s in the same category. Maybe you won’t catch those model 3’s driving like as*hats, but who cares, we drive minivans lol.

Also whose kirk?

Obligatory towing setup before hitting the grapevine on I-5

Krispy, you hyped up the 6.2 way too much. I did a quick goodle search after my reply above and the raptors were initially released with 5.4 in 2010. I didn’t realize svt was synonymous with raptor?

Damn and I used to be a ford kid growing up too. Svt was the hot sh*t back in the day

I've popped in to monitor the traffic on this thread occasionally, but until now chose to leave it alone. For the most part it's been good natured banter.

But there's been a real change in the past two pages and the tone is getting disruptive. I'm going to put a temporary closure until I can sort thru and weed out some of the comments. Some folks just don't seem to be able to control their temper and seem to be stuck. I guess I need to help them....
