No cranking; no power; no electrical

I am having a puzzling problem with my 2005 Toyota Sienna. Yesterday, shortly after returning from a short trip, I tried to start my Sienna without success. When I turned the key to start the car, I got nothing--no clicking, no cranking, no idiot lights on the dash--nothing. I didn't even get any door chime or dome light when I opened the drivers door with the key still in the ignition. No headlights, no turn signals, no emergency flashers. Even though the battery is only 6 months old, I checked it and it seemed to be good. I cleaned the terminals to be extra certain and then jump-connected an RV house battery I had handy and still nothing. I checked the main 30A fuse and it seemed fine, but I still took the fuse to a local auto parts store. They used an ohm meter and said it was good, but I bought a replacement anyway and put it in and still nothing. FYI, without power, my transmission is locked in Park, so I can't even call a tow truck to take the car to a repair shop unless I can get the transmission out of Park. FYI, I'm not that mechanically inclined and so have been getting tips from friends as to what to check. They are all as stumped as I am. However, none of them have Siennas, so I'm hoping someone here on the forum knows the secret to success. I certainly welcome any suggestions.

You've got a main connection problem. Check that the negative connection from the battery is properly attached to the car body, with no corrosion. The positive connection leaves the battery and goes to a small terminal block. I once had this come loose and the van died on the road. Two rotations of a wrench, and we were back in business.

BTW, the main fuse is a 140A buss bar and several smaller bars, and is in a clear plastic section in the middle of the underhood fuse box.

Repair shop found that there was a break in the cable running from the battery to the fuse box. No idea how that happened--I haven't had any work done under the hood in the last 6 months, and nothing happened in the last several days of driving to explain how or why the cable suddenly parted.
