I have a 2021 Sienna XLE without the JBL system. I don't have the wireless android auto connectivity so I have to connect the USB cable for it to work. Problem is that the Toyota USB connector is flakey and constantly disconnects my android auto. Pretty unsafe since I'm always messing the cable while I'm driving. I've tried a lot of different cables.

I rented a BMW for a week and was amazed at how smooth the infotainment system worked and was jealous. So I decided to buy this Ottocast wireless android auto adapter to fix the problem. Got it from Amazon. This thing is a game changer. I highly recommend it.

I've had multiple Android Auto, in general it disconnects cause it sucks. My Subaru discount every so often, my Kenwood 10" smart touch screen did the same, same with my wired connection on my sienna and my wireless AA. Numerous car rentals with Android Auto wired as well...

I just don't think Android Auto is really refine as it as to accommodate hundred of different devices. Unlike apple, the force it on a specific set of hardware.
