RES and Fire Tablet

So our first Sienna (2022 XSE was totaled in march) didn't come with the RES which is how we wanted it. Now, our replacement 2023 AE, has it. I'm trying to figure out what I need to do to be able to use our Fire tablet to show on the RES.

I bought a USB-C to hdmi converter, but just getting blank screen in hdmi. Could be the conversion box I got doesn't work with this system? Idk.

Has anybody had any success getting a fire tablet to work? What adaptor and hdmi cable did you use?

I can mirror my Samsung to it, but then I can't use my phone. I have a old Samsung I can mirror but it doesn't have enough storage space to save stuff to.

I'm trying to do this without having to Hotspot or use wifi, so the roku, firestick won't work.

I’m using a screen casting app (based on Miracast) and it’s working well.

Yeah, I got my old galaxy s5 to work, it just doesnt have enough memory to save movies to, so I'll have to buy a new microSD card. Still would really like a way to get the Fire Tablet to work since we already have it and already has everything we need saved to it.

The Fire HD10 cannot cast nor can it output video through its USB port. I went around in circles and tried a bunch of different things (trying to connect to a smart TV, not a Sienna). It won’t do it.

I ended up buying a Samsung Galaxy S6 Lite. Screen cast to Vizio and LG smart TVs works great.
