Cannot agree with the B pillar design

Indeed--this seems to fit the apparent requirement for some significant percentage of Japanese vehicles to have some random piece of trim that makes no sense. It happens enough that it always makes me laugh when I see a new one.

 

Gen 2 has a boring B pillar, is just going on sale

 

the new sienna is quite luxurious, i think they are wasting time & $$$$. this surely won't work in the US. they must have another market in mind
