So I ordered the carrier assembly from a local Toyota dealer and after pulling the original trim out to install the assembly I found out that the cup holder was missing. I figured this was an honest mistake made by Toyota so I went ahead and installed it without it.
Called them today to see if they could send me the cup holder but they are telling me that it's not part of the assembly! I was pretty incredulous so I asked him to confirm that this is so and he went and verified it.
I think they are full of it but what could I do? So if anyone is reading this, I would call first to ask specifically if the cup holder is included. Orderring the cup holder separate is about $50. I don't see any mention of anyone not getting the cup holder here or adding it to the parts ordered list so buyer beware.
Wow - I assume it was a given to come with 1 cup holder? I don’t know what build version wouldn’t come with a cup holder (fleet vehicle??) Mines came with the cup holder and like you said,i. didn’t have anyone mention specifically to request a cup holder during the order process. Sucks

Yes, it's a 1 cup holder. The Toyota parts guy was nice enough to order one for me free of charge. He seemed to think it was something that should be ordered separately though but he did it as a courtesy. Interestingly I just noticed a picture on here of someone that did the install and I didn't see the cup holder on his. Guess YMMV on this one.
Here is the cup holder part # for my particular car varient if it helps anyone:
64746-08030-B2; NEUTRAL WARM GRAY (Holder, Deck Side Trim Cup, LH)
As is with the assembly, the B2 refers to the color. I have an 2022 XSE/no rear shade/no entertainment sys.

Thank you. That part number is helpful. My spare assembly also didn't come with a cup holder. I spent an hour looking through the boxes and the car if I had misplaced it. Frustrating to say the least as I only recognized it when I had everything installed. I assumed that it was something that was included.

I'm hoping my parts guy is as generous as yours.

Can anyone tell me the dealership/service department they had success with confirming/identifying the correct part for the 'Spare Wheel Carrier Assembly' to match the interior aka "51900-08080-XX"?

The dealerships in my area don't seem to know what I'm talking about.

Thanks in advance.

what interior color do you have? do you have the DVD package? someone in here can probably help

same here don't no which grey ( light grey B2. cool grey B3 )24 XLE AWD Graphite Embossed Softex interior
FYI - I reached out to Smithtown Toyota via "contact us" button and provided my VIN number for confirmation of the correct part.

They reached out to me via email about 4 days later with the part # 51900-08080-B2; which was the part I suspected it was.

The Parts guy at Victory Toyota in Brook Park OH (Cleveland area) was able to figure out the part I needed last year, soon after we bought our 2023 XLE... but it took more than looking up my VIN. He had to look through some other database, at a different computer, to figure it out. In other words, it's not a straightforward question. He did figure out what part we needed though, and I picked up everything about ten days later. Our son took his time and installed the spare with the cover in about two hours (reading a pdf and watching a YT video).

After recently converting my LE to add the spare, I put this together to hopefully save others some time digging through the other threads. Refer to this thread for additional discussion and pictures.

All of the required parts will cost around $650 (including wheel and tire). Additionally, you will need to have the tire mounted at a tire shop ($20-30).

This is a 2-3 hr DIY job if you are handy, however there are a couple of items you'll want to make sure you're comfortable with: seatbelts need to be removed and reinstalled (bolts need to be torqued properly), and some carpet needs to be cut (to install the jack). If you have the dealer install, expect to pay $400+ in labor.

Parts Required

1. Spare Tire Kit
Cost: $260
Part: 51900-08050xx, 51900-08060xx, 51900-08070xx, or 51900-08080xx, xx referring to the trim color - see post #2 for more details

This kit has all required parts, except for the wheel, tire, and some nuts. Includes: Trim panel, trim cover for tire, mounting bracket for tire, jack, jack cover, handles, lug nut wrench, and hardware (see attached photo from the install PDF)

The trim color options are B2, B3, C2, C3. For my base LE, the complete part number was 51900-08050B2. I think that all LE's use the same trim color, but you may want to call your dealer and provide the VIN to confirm. My door sticker says trim color FA10.

2. Jack Kit Nuts
Cost: $4
Part: 90176-06051 (order 4 of these)

Required to bolt the jack holder down to the floor. No idea why these are not included in the kit.

3. Spare Wheel
Cost: ~$260
Part: 42611-0R271

Note this shows unavailable on the official Toyota parts site, so either google around to buy direct from another dealer or ebay.

Other forum members have mentioned previous gen Sienna spare fits in the storage area, however a 3rd gen wheel did not work for me. There was some interference or a different offset preventing the wheel from sitting flush against the mounting hub. If you can find an older spare that does, this will save some dough, but ymmv.

4. Tire
Cost: ~$110
Size: 155/80R17

The stock brand is Falken, but anything will work. IE one option at Tirerack: FK-090 - SIZE: T155/80D17 / $107

Total: $650

When ordering, the easiest route seems to be at parts.toyota.com. Check several dealers in your area. Some charge MSRP ($300 for the kit), some are MSRP in-store, and not all offer local pickup for online. Do your dealer a favor and choose local pickup and not shipping. The box is gigantic.

Tldr, try to find a dealer that sells at discount with local pickup and you should not have any issues.

Install

Tools needed: Basic metric socket set and tools, torque wrench (to cover 30-50 ftlb), trim removal tool

See the attached PDF for instructions. It is pretty easy to follow. There were a couple of obvious items omitted: 2 brackets that hold the middle seat straps need to be removed, and transferring the trim piece in step 13 did not apply to my LE trim.

Overall, it's a fairly straightforward install. Cost-wise, the kit itself is actually a fair price considering what's included. Wheel+tire+mounting is actually the biggest expense at around $400. So, should you have the luxury of adding the $75 option from the factory, do it! (Of course, most did not have a choice)
why did you get both spare wheel and tire? Shouldn't I be enough?

what is the difference between 42611-0R271 (wheel disc/ rim) and 155/80R17 (actual wheel)?
Doesn't a donut have the rim so why is another rim needed?

Greetings! I'm picking up a 2025 Platinum with black interior in a few days. Parts department was only able to tell me that the full $1,500+ kit (51900-08071-C5) matched the 2025. That's really pricy and comes with the OEM spare tire - and I'd rather buy a Modern Spare.

I'd like to order part 51900-08070-XX, but I have no idea what trim code matches a '25 with black interior.

Anyone else order for a black interior and can tell me their trim code? Any reason to think the '24 kit won't work with a '25 (which is what the online parts finders and the dealer tried to suggest)?

Last 4 of VIN: B847

UPDATE
Spoke with another dealer's parts department. The 2025 VINs aren't yet loading in their database for matching to trim colors and the online parts finders are doing weird things (like defaulting to a trim color that may not match). 2025 has at least one new trim color. The kits without the tire "Spare Wheel Carrier Assembly" that are much better priced, likely will exist but are also not yet loaded/orderable. They might need to be ordered peicemeal, but until the 2025 gets fully updated for ordering parts - we won't know everything.

ADVICE: Want the spare tire kit for a 2025? Probably best to wait till this all gets sorted, especially if you are going to pay for shipping.

I have a 2025 with gray interior, and have the same problem finding out which grey would work from prior years. But i think your advice is sound. Just wait until Toyota updates their database, thanks.

An update on the 2025 kit. I was able to order a 2025 kit (P/N 51900-08051-C5) from my local dealer and it was "on sale" for $270.37. On my XLE with gray softex the side panel is all one shade of black/charcoal or very dark gray, not the two tone of earlier models. I wonder if all the 2025's aren't like that. Anyway, the C5 suffix is the correct "black" for my van.

My dealer is telling me that P/N 51900-08071-C5 is the right kit for my 2025 Limited. Seems crazy as it's 5x the cost of P/N 51900-08051-C5. Anyone know the difference?? Maybe the dealer is quoting me including the spare tire?

That includes the tire, and there's no image to really see what the sub-part numbers are. Part DB for the 2025 is still incomplete.

Did you ever get this sorted out? I also have a platinum 25 that looks black interior.
The color of the trim on the sticker in the door says LB25, was it the same for you?

Did the sticker on the inside of your door say LB25 for the trim color?

Still waiting for the parts DB to have diagrams and stop showing me multiple color codes for my VIN. I think C5 corresponds to black interior, but I don't want to spend $1,000 extra to include the OEM spare.
