The ‘X’ in XSE, is Toyota for real?

Hey folks,

Yup another XSE thread.

Currently available GEN4 trims: LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, Platinum, Woodland. Not in correct order.
Here’s my dilemma. Can an XSE exist without an SE? It’s like saying “would you like a medium or large drink?” A medium cannot exist without a small. Instead, shouldn’t it be small or large? Of course I’ve heard regular or large. Semantics I suppose.

Here’s 2 different definitions of XSE, one from the brand and the other from dealershits (aha).
Extreme Sport Edition and Executive Sport Edition.
Extreme it is not, Executive, acceptable.

I’ve been telling people that LE means Low End. So I guess L must mean Lowest. 😎

And to muck it up a bit more, 2024 will have an "XSE Premium" trim. Or will it be called "XSE trim with Premium Package"...

Woodland is another confusing moniker as they chose paint that is the color of CEMENT! The cement is a decent color but it paints an image that is the opposite of nature and the outdoors. The green (cypress) or brown (sunset bronze mica) would have been the more intuitive choices. As an aside, they should have installed the Journeys or Traxda 2" lift kits on the Woodland. Oh, and a proper 2" hitch. Also add a spare tire. So much missed opportunity!

They don’t add a 2” lift because it would add thousands to the cost of the van for an OEM to do it right.
If you look at the TRD 3” lift kit for the Tundra it’s very involved, almost everything the lift changes is brought back to factory specs.
