Agree. The woodland appears to be a poseur “off-roader”. In a fricken minivan. 😂
You all are making me self conscious about wanting a woodland now 😆. Its more about the black interior and standard plus package with inverter for me. If I get a woodland I'm guaranteed those options. If I "reserve" an XLE, I may or may not get those options depending on allocations, and definitely wont get the black interior.

Am I buying it for the tow hitch and 0.6" extra clearance. Nope. Do I want to off road with it. Nope. Do I think I am off roader with it. Nope. Could the 0.6" help? Most likely wont be in a situation where it is needed, but it doesnt hurt. I'll likely remove the factory hitch if I end up with a woodland. It looks like an afterthought and I have a truck to tow things anyways. If I really end up needing to tow anything I could throw it on or install a hidden 2" hitch which would be preferred. Having the wire harness there will be handy in that event.

As far as color, that's completely a preference thing, and I think the Sienna looks good in cement. It looks good in all the colors really.

Thats my justification for going with a woodland. Not that I need justify anything to you or anyone else but myself 😛. Just my $0.02 and some perspective on why someone might want the woodland. Everyone has their preference and wants. Just like I think it it ludicrous to spend $60k+ on a platinum that has (in my opinion) frivolous options that I dont care to have, probably since I've never had them on a vehicle. Heck, the woodland Sienna would be by far the most optioned and techy vehicle I've had coming from a '16 rav4 XLE hybrid and a 2015 Tacoma dinosaur.

To each their own! 🤜🤛

I agree that it all comes down to personal preference. I originally wanted the woodlands and ended up with an XSE due to availability and up charging in my area for the woodlands at many dealers. I wish they all just had the extra clearance. I wouldn’t have minded having the hitch either. I personally do like the cement color as well. I definitely prefer the interior color of the woodlands over the interior of my XSE. That was something that I compromised on for sure.

Are the woodland and XSE interiors different? I have been in an XSE and it I thought it looked the same (or at least extremely close) to what the Woodlands had.

I thought the interior color of the woodlands was unique to the model. All of the AWD XSE available in my area have the moonstone gray interior, which is lighter than the woodlands interior. The woodlands that I tried to buy had a gray flannel interior I believe. Perhaps it was just what was available near me though.
Edit: I did look on the build your own Toyota area and it looks like it is available that way for the XSE. Must just not have been any near me with the configuration at the time I was looking and I assumed it wasn’t available.

Ahhh, interesting. I thought the XSE had only one interior choice. Thanks for clarifying.
